Founded in 1995, Segami Corporation is a privately-owned medical device manufacturer engaged in the development and marketing of affordable, best-in-class workstations for Nuclear Medicine. Today in addition to having the expertise in the NM domain, Segami has expanded to support other modalities including developing customized interfaces to seamlessly integrate with the PACS/HIS-RIS software such that the workflow for the user is continuous and easy.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide our customers with solutions that are practical, efficient and of high clinical merit. We value creativity and originality, not just to be different, but to excel. We strive to make our software available to the broadest market, regardless of original equipment make and model. Over the past decade, Segami has established itself as the leader in providing software applications and workstations to the entire nuclear medicine imaging market.

Our software is integrated in many fine OEM products serving the Nuclear Medicine and Radiology markets. We also distribute our products through an extensive, worldwide dealer network. Segami will continue to corroborate with other world class Imaging and Information Systems companies that will help strengthen our commitment to providing cost-effective and high-quality solutions for superior patient care throughout the healthcare system.

PACS Connectivity

The digital imaging storage and display systems namely PACS today is required to handle images from various medical imaging instruments, including ultrasound, MRI, PET, CT, endoscopy, mammograms etc. As more and more facilities adopt PACS and as encounter with patients increase in various disciplines such as Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology, PACS that can address issues beyond storage and distribution such as enhanced viewing capabilities with the ability to interpret diagnostic images over the Internet are likely to have a greater acceptability and sales.Segami software can be easily integrated into the PACS environment to enable the PACS to process, display and interpret images from different modalities.

HIS-RIS Connectivity

Integrating imaging modalities with the workflow of the HIS/RIS network has become a priority in modern healthcare delivery systems and is essential to providing superior and cost-effective patient care. Segami software can be integrated into a Hospital environment to enable users from different departments/equipments to communicate and share patient information in a secured manner while maintaining and strengthening the underlying existing connectivity with the PACS. In addition to having the expertise in the NM domain, Segami has also developed different customized interfaces to seamlessly integrate with the PACS/HIS-RIS software such that the workflow for the user is transparent and easy.

Universal Connectivity

With regards to connectivity with the gamma cameras, in addition to standard interfaces like DICOM and Interfile, we import most NM/PET data formats directly. Plus, we offer analog and digital acquisition solutions for many legacy camera systems. If you wish to integrate an older camera or computer system, regardless of make and model, in your departmental network, we can provide and install an affordable solution.

Clinical Excellence

All of our clinical applications are developed in collaboration with leading institutions worldwide and are based on sound and well-validated principles. We employ a great number of clinical experts to assure that our software meets the requirements of our clinical users. We believe that your needs are served best by professionals that know nuclear medicine.

Segami offers multi-modality clinical applications for most specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology and Oncology.

OASIS WS

Multimodality Workstation

Oasis SPECT Fusion is a clinical application for the review and analysis of SPECT/CT/MR studies. The SPECT fusion application allows for the loading of several types of datasets including SPECT reconstruction, SPECT Tomo, CT, MRI, Statics, Whole Body images, Flows, Blood Pools, and Screen Captures. For the datasets that are loaded, the application provides both SPECT and CT multiplanar reformation projections (consisting of linked Transverse, Coronal, and Sagittal views) used for triangulation. The application will also render one or more MIP derived from the SPECT data and provide a set of fusion images. Reconstructed tomographic data will be shown in a combination cine and splash page. The application also generates individual SPECT pages, each devoted to a single orthogonal projection. Separate applications are provided for General, Prostascint, WBC, Somatostatin, Parathyroid and Extremities each with optimized settings for scaling, color and layouts.

OASIS WS

Multimodality Workstation

Oasis Fusion Imaging package is a unique application for the Diagnostic Review of Volumetric Multi-Modality Data, compatible with data from all vendors and models. Allowing display of volumetric PET, SPECT, CT, MR Data, it includes ability to register manually the PET or SPECT data over the CT or MR Data and automatic 3D integrated co-registration possible with Mutual Information Algorithm. Image Fusion thus provides physicians a method by which they can combine separate images acquired with different modalities. The integrated Lesion Manager in the PET/CT application allows users to track tumor size and tumor activity over time. Up to 4 PET/CT studies can be loaded at one time for comparison purposes.

OASIS WS

Multimodality Workstation

Advanced application for the iterative reconstruction of SPECT data with CTAC. It is used to reconstruct tomo data from hybrid SPECT/CT cameras or AC corrected tomo data with separately acquired CT. Iterative reconstruction, based on iterative 3D OSEM algorithm, allows to account for imaging physics (statistics, resolution, scatter, attenuation). Thus this application is used to improve SPECT resolution, image contrast and signal-to-noise ratio. It can also better handle truncated projections, better resolve details close to hot objects (e.g, bladder) and minimize star artifacts. Various 3D filtering options are provided including Butterworth and Gaussian.
